Muttahida Nanbai Roti Association Wednesday staged a shutdown strike in the city of Lahore to increase the prices of ‘Roti’ (Bread).
According to the 24News HD TV channel, on the appeal of the association, all the ‘Tandoors’ (Nan Shops) downed their shutter in the city.
Citizens criticized the district administration for not getting bread all day.
A strike is being held in Garhi Shahu, Achhra, Ferozepur Road, Tajpura Scheme, Mughalpura, Shahdara, Krishan Nagar, Rehmanpura, Iqbal Town, and Ghous-ul-Azam Bazar.
Leaders of the Muttahida Nanbai Roti Association said that the prices of electricity, gas and fine flour have increased so notification should be issued to increase the price of bread.
Leaders of Muttahida Nanbai Association say that the strike will continue till fulfils their demands.
