Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has summoned an emergency meeting on country’s deteriorating economic condition, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

According to sources, country’s economic team and higher ups from the finance department would participate in the huddle.

The meeting would deliberate on the constant appreciation in the value of US dollar and it would brainstorm how to stop the Pakistani rupee’s ignoble slump.

The premier’s economic team would brief the huddle on country’s economic situation and value of Pakistani rupee.

The US dollar today pounded Pakistani currency and continued its upward trajectory reaching the historic high to Rs224.92.

In three days, the US dollar gained Rs9.8 against the local currency and gained over Rs40 since the coalition government assumed power.
