Former principal secretary Azam Khan’s abduction FIR cancelled

The first information report (FIR) about the disappearance of Azam Khan, former Principal Secretary to outed Prime Minister Imran FIR has been canceled, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The former federal secretary Azam Khan went missing on June 9 and an FIR was registered on the complaint of Azam’s nephew, Muhammad Saeed Khan at the capital’s Kohsar police station on June 16. It invoked Section 365 of the Pakistan Penal Code, which pertains to kidnapping or abduction.

Now, the FIR was canceled at the request of Azam Khan on Tuesday. The retired bureaucrat told the police that he was with a friend of his own free will. 

He also recorded the statement of 164 before the Islamabad Industrial Area Magistrate. Magistrate Industrial Area Avid Bhatti recorded Azam Khan's statement.
