Pakistan's IT exports hit record $3.8bn in FY2024-25

Pakistan's IT exports have reached an all-time high of $3.8 billion at the end of the fiscal year 2025, marking a major milestone in the country’s digital journey, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

According to official sources, this historic growth in IT, IT-enabled services (ITeS), and freelance exports—recording an 18% increase—has been made possible through the combined efforts of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and the Ministry of Information Technology.

Under the strategic leadership of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of IT implemented a comprehensive roadmap focusing on talent development, infrastructure investment, global branding, and strong policy support, which played a crucial role in achieving this milestone.

Experts have hailed the increase as a revolutionary step towards a robust digital economy, driven by expanding high-speed internet, digital payment systems, and a flourishing freelance community.

The government remains committed to positioning Pakistan as a global IT powerhouse and is steadily progressing towards the ambitious goal of $15 billion in IT exports by 2030.

Officials noted that the strengthening of Pakistan’s global tech image and steady policy interventions continue to build investor confidence and unlock the country’s untapped digital potential.
