Govt cuts petrol price by 35 paisas, raises diesel by Rs5.71 per litre
The federal government on Monday revised the petroleum prices, decreasing the price of petrol by 35 paisas per litre and increasing the price of high-speed diesel by Rs5.71 per litre.
According to a notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the new prices will take effect from July 21.
Under the revised rates, the price of petrol has been reduced from Rs316.15 to Rs315.80 per litre, providing a marginal relief to consumers.
In contrast, the price of high-speed diesel has been increased from Rs354.89 to Rs360.60 per litre, reflecting a rise of Rs5.71 per litre.
The revised petroleum prices will remain in effect until the next fortnightly review by the government. OGRA issued the notification after the government's approval of the new rates.
