Veteran Pakistani actress Hina Dilpazeer best known for her iconic role in the hit sitcom ‘Bulbulay’, has candidly opened up about why she has not been appearing on television as frequently in recent years.
Speaking during a latest interview, the actress said she prefers quality over quantity and would rather take on fewer projects than accept roles that require her to compromise on her creative standards or the kind of characters she wants to portray.
She said, “ache jo scripts hote hai woh mujh tak puhanchte hi nahi aur jo puhanchte hai, abb mera samjhota karne ko dil nahi chahta toh main iss wajah say zyada nai aati”, which translates to, “The best scripts never reach me, and the ones that do, I no longer feel like compromising just to take them. That's why I'm not seen on screen very often anymore.”
Elaborating further, Hina highlighted her versatility as an actress, saying she has no reservations about portraying an elderly woman, dressing up as a boy, or taking on any unconventional character. However, she emphasized that the role must have a strong screen presence and meaningful impact.
Her remarks resonated with fans, who praised her talent and supported her decision to remain selective about her work.
