Rabya Kulsoom says Haris Rauf was a gentleman, hints at others’ attitude
Pakistani content creator and actress Rabya Kulsoom, along with her husband and fellow digital creator Rehan, has opened up about her experience working with Pakistan's national and international cricketers during the Pakistan Super League (PSL), praising fast bowler Haris Rauf for his humility while alleging that some other players displayed an unprofessional attitude.
Speaking during her latest podcast appearance, Rabya recalled interacting with several cricketers during a PSL-related shoot arranged by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). While she chose not to name anyone apart from Haris Rauf, she said the experience left her with mixed impressions.
Sharing her experience, she said: "During the PSL, we interacted with both national and international players. Haris Rauf is one of the most fantastic and amazing players. He met us so warmly, was extremely cooperative, and spoke to us with great respect. There is a basic level of courtesy and manners that a person should have, and unfortunately, I didn't see that in many of the other players that day. After meeting Haris Rauf, I genuinely appreciated how well-mannered he was."
Rabya further claimed that some national players behaved rudely during the shoot despite the fact that they had been officially invited by the PCB.
"We were there for a shoot arranged by the PCB, and even the crew was from the PCB. There were three or four players present, and one or two of them acted as though they didn't want to shoot. They weren't willing to communicate properly, showed attitude, and even passed comments that seemed directed at us. We could clearly sense it," she said.
She clarified that she did not expect every public figure to recognize her but stressed that basic professionalism and courtesy should be extended to everyone.
"It's completely fine if you don't know us. Not everyone in the world has to know who we are. But there should always be basic courtesy and respectful conduct when you're working with people," Rabya added.
Her remarks have since sparked discussion on social media, with many users appreciating her praise for Haris Rauf while debating the importance of professionalism and respectful behaviour from public figures during official work engagements.
