Seven drones, 24 kgs of heroin seized in Lahore
Punjab Counter Narcotics Force (PCNF) personnel have seized 24 kilograms of heroin and seven drones, and arrested two accused, including a woman from Batapur area of Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
The value of the seized narcotics in the international market is approximately around Rs36 million.
Punjab Counter Narcotics Force Director-General Brigadier Mazhar Iqbal said an intelligence-based operation was conducted in Diyal village during which 24 kilograms of heroin and seven drones were impounded.
The seized weapons included an SMG rifle with 6 magazines and 377 bullets, one M4 rifle, 3 MM rifles, 20 pistols.
The gang was involved in supplying drugs in different residential and educational institutions in Lahore.
ANF recovers 88 kgs of narcotics
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), while conducting six operations across the country, managed to recover over 88 kg of drugs worth more than Rs 12.9 million and arrested 10 accused.
According to an ANF Headquarters spokesperson, ANF, in a crackdown against drug traffickers near a school on Adiala Road, Rawalpindi, recovered 1.2 kg of hashish from two motorcyclists.
The arrested suspects confessed to selling drugs to the students of educational institutions.
The ANF recovered 2.2 kilograms of ice from a cloth parcel at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi.
In another operation, ANF recovered 1.2 kilograms of ice from a parcel that was destined for New Zealand from Rawalpindi.
ANF team seized 38.4 kilograms of hashish and arrested two accused from Ring Road, Peshawar.
7.2 kg of charas (cannabis resin) was recovered from a vehicle near the Bidra Interchange, Mansehra; the suspect has been arrested.
2.5 kg of 'Ice' (crystal methamphetamine) was recovered from a mini electric oven at a courier office on Nasir Bagh Road, Peshawar.
Cases have been registered under the Anti-Narcotics Act, 1997, regarding these operations, and investigations have been initiated.
