Fawad Chaudhary is a federal minister who is supposed to look after the affairs related to science and technology. And he is not an ordinary minister as he champions the cause of science.

Fawad also never hesitates to generate controversies, especially when it comes to the moon. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is a proof of that as he fights wholeheartedly with the panel on three occasions every year – twice for Eid moon-sighting and once on the occasion of Ramazan.

The federal minister for science and technology’s known affair with the moon seems to have no ending as he has now described the solar (sun) eclipse as lunar (moon) eclipse.

In a tweet, he captioned an image containing the details of the solar eclipse as a lunar eclipse, saying more information about the lunar eclipse.

But this blunder couldn’t go unnoticed as social media users mocked him over this failure to differentiate between the sun and the moon.

“Science minister @fawadchaudhry posting solar eclipse pic with lunar eclipse caption. It is worth mentioning that he is a lawyer by profession,” he added.

And there were some other comments as well, as they said the entire world would experience a solar eclipse except Pakistan where the people were going to see a lunar eclipse.
