IMF mission expected to visit Pakistan in August: Finance Ministry

Federal Finance Ministry has said that the International Monetary Fund mission is expected to visit Pakistan in August, reported 24News HD TV channel on Sunday.
While reacting to PML-N leader Miftah Ismail, the ministry said the IMF programme had not been suspended. The ministry’s statement said that the IMF mission would inspect the economic performance of the ongoing fiscal year. It further says that Pakistan had achieved all targets according to the proramme of the IMF till March 2021.
The statement said that Pakistan's economic performance remained excellent. It says that the World Bank had approved the loan for Pakistan yesterday. The ministry said that the PML-N finance ministry had destroyed the economy of Pakistan, adding that the PML-N was real responsible for the IMF debt programme.
