Punjab ends limit of Executive Allowance for OSD bureaucrats

The caretaker government of Punjab abolished the limitation of the Executive Allowance for the bureaucrats on Monday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the provincial bureaucracy gave special favour to the Officers on Special Duty (OSD) in Punjab and ended the limit of the Executive Allowance for them.
The channel report said the OSD officers in Punjab will now be able to draw executive allowance till a new appointment instead of six months.
The Punjab Finance Department has also issued a new notification regarding the 'unlimited' Executive Allowance for OSD officers that will be applicable from April 20, 2023.
It is worth mentioning that earlier, the OSD bureaucrats were given six months of executive allowance.
