Congratulations pour in for national team reaching in Hockey Nations Cup final

Congratulations have poured in for the Pakistan hockey team, who secured their place in the final of the FIH Nations Cup 2025 in Kuala Lumpur after a spectacular semi-final victory against France.  

The victory has sparked a wave of national jubilation, drawing warm congratulations from the country's top leadership.

President Asif Ali Zardari extended heartfelt congratulations to the entire hockey squad. "The players' exceptional performance, passion, and teamwork are worthy of great praise," he stated. 

"The team has elevated Pakistan’s reputation on the international stage. This victory brings pride and joy to the entire nation."

President Zardari further commended the players' talent, dedication, and resilience, expressing confidence that they would bring the same spirit and excellence to the final match.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif extended heartfelt congratulations to the entire Pakistani nation as the national hockey team reached in final. 

In his statement, the Prime Minister lauded the team’s exceptional achievement, highlighting that the victory of the national team is a revival of the national game in the country. 

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also congratulated the team, expressing joy over their semi-final victory against France. 

She praised captain Imad Butt and his teammates for their spirited and skillful display, calling it a proud moment for Pakistan.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi echoed the sentiments, sending warm felicitations to the national team on their triumph. 

 "The players showcased excellent teamwork to overcome France and qualify for the final," he said. 

"Their remarkable performance on the field is truly commendable. I congratulate not just the players but the entire management team. This win is a sign of good news coming for Pakistan not only in sports but in every field." 

Naqvi expressed hope that the team would carry this momentum into the final and return home as champions.
