Man shot dead over money dispute in Lahore

A man was dead and two others seriously injured when one Mohsin along with his accomplices opened fire on him for not returning money in Barki area of Lahore on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The deceased was later identified as Arsalan.

Soon after receiving the report of the incident, local police rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to a local hospital for autopsy.

Police also collected evidence from the crime scene.

Later, the police filed a first information report (FIR) against the accused and started a search operation to apprehend the culprits.

CCD starts crackdown against criminals

The Crime Control Department (CCD) Chung team arrested five members of a criminal gang during a crackdown against criminals in Lahore.

Sources said that police also recovered currency, mobile phones and illegal weapons from the possession of the accused.

A spokesman of CCD said that the crackdown will continue in the city against criminals without any distinction. 

The spokesman further revealed that due to strict measures adopted by CCD, a marginal decrease was witnessed in crimes in the city.
