DPM Dar arrives in Cairo to attend regional FM's meeting

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has arrived in Cairo, Egypt, to attend Regional Foreign Ministers' Meeting being held tomorrow.

Upon arrival, he was received by Assistant Foreign Minister for Policy Planning, Research, Crisis Management and Assessments Nazih El Naggary, and Pakistan's Ambassador to Egypt, Ambassador Aamir Shouket.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Saturday departed for Cairo, Egypt, to participate in the 4th Meeting of the R-4 Foreign Ministers of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Egypt, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister will hold bilateral meetings with the participating foreign ministers.

Dar will also call on the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi during his visit.

Dar receives calls from Uzbek FM

Senator Ishaq Dar received a telephone call from the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov. 

On behalf of his President and himself, FM Saidov felicitated Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar on the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and commended the leadership of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Defence Forces Syed Asim Munir for the constructive role in facilitating the dialogue process.

He appreciated Pakistan’s efforts as a mediator and acknowledged its significant contribution to advancing international peace efforts, as well as promoting regional peace and stability.

Both leaders expressed hope that the progress achieved would be carried forward in the next phase of engagement, contributing to lasting peace, stability, and prosperity in the region and beyond.

The two leaders agreed to maintaining close contact on matters of mutual interest.
