Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has expressed his displeasure over the way the government is handling the media.

According to a private TV channel, Fawad said he wasn’t happy with the government’s media team and the way media was being dealt with. Media had played an important role in the PTI coming into power, the minister noted.

He described the media as the country’s important institution. “Media freedom is one of those things in Pakistan I can be proud of,” he remarked.

The federal minister, however, said that many good government actions were not finding space in the media.
