Joining the countrywide efforts to deal with the situation arising out of the coronavirus spread, the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) has asked Pakistanis who wanted to distribute Zakat and give sadqa, to not to wait for the holy month of Ramazan, which is due in the last week of April, and pay their Zakat and sadqas immediately.
The CII announced the advisory through a notification on Friday keeping in view the impact of coronavirus on people's incomes and the economy.
The Council called on the public to give alms to daily wage workers and labourers, adding that it is better to distribute alms as soon as possible.
