First Information Report (FIR) was registered against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and Member National Assembly Mian Javed Latif at Township police station in Lahore on Saturday for inciting people to rebellion against the state and treason, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The case was registered against the PML-N MNA on the complaint of Jamil Salim, resident of Township area, under sections 120, 120-B, 153, 153-A, 500, 505 and 506.

Sections of the Cyber Crime Act have also been inserted in the FIR registered against Javed Latif.

The FIR states that the PML-N leader not only spat venom at the country’s integrity but also against the state institutions; that he sowed the seeds of hatred and distrust between the workers of the PML-N and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP); tried to create chaos in the country and instill fear in the hearts of people through his statement, and that he, by issuing anti-government, anti-state and anti-institutions statements, had committed a criminal act.

Mian Javed Latif had a few days back said, “If PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz comes to any harm, the party will no more say ‘Pakistan Khapey’ (Pakistan Zindabad or Long Live Pakistan).
