Pakistan cricket icon and former skipper Wasim Akram has denied interfering in the national team selection process, maintaining that he is neither in the team nor does he interfere in the selection, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Speaking in Karachi, Wasim Akram also termed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) cricket committee useless.
Wasim Akram wondered that if he still has influence outside the selection committee then he should be praised. “I did not call PCB Chief Selector Muhammad Waseem and tell him whom to include or exclude in the team,” the former left-hand fast bowler said.
"I don't have that much time," Wasim Akram said while talking to reporters at a ceremony in Karachi.
Waseem Akram said, "There are idle people who spread such news."
He also remarked that the cricket committee they were talking about did not hold even a single meeting in the whole year.
