The participants of an urgent meeting of ruling coalition partners have suggested adopting a clear-cut policy to tackle Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, reported 24NewsHDTV channel.

The members of the meeting convened by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Monday also condemned the torture of the lawmen by the PTI activists in Islamabad.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired the six hours long meeting of the allied parties. The meeting was attended by security officials, that deliberated on the country’s political and security situation.

Different matters were underscored and various proposals were brought forward by political leaders in the meeting to handle Imran Khan and his party workers. CCPO Lahore briefed the meeting about the Zaman Park fiasco. He apprised the meeting about the mayhem created by PTI workers and that anarchists were hired on daily wages.

The participants decided to counter those creating chaos with an iron fist at the meeting. Elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) were also brought to light at the meeting.

In response, the political attendants put forward their recommendations and unanimously decided to bring Imran Khan under the law. The attendants also brought the judiciary’s role to question saying if everyone was equal under the law, why Khan was being treated above the law?

The participants opined to adopting a clear policy regarding Imran Khan.

They condemned the 'disgusting' smear campaign against Army chief General Munir by the PTI chief.

“Imran Khan must be brought to justice for the implementation of the government writ, the participants urged.

The purported audio leak of former Chief Justice Saqib Nasir and Khawaja Tariq Rahim was also discussed in the meeting. The audio leak was also condemned as it featured a statement against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz.

Sources privy to the development said that all the parties – formed the PDM – believed in action – against any entity – as per the constitution.

The PDM leaders ensured to stand by the institutions of the state, vowing to deal with the extremists with iron hands.

Revision of the role of the judiciary was also declared inevitable in the meeting. The facility which is for Imran Khan by the Judiciary should also be available to the common man, the participants raised eyebrows.

“The law is equal for all, so why is Imran Khan above, the stand of the participants.”

During the investigation, the arrested persons were also informed about the important revelations.

A decision was made to give a free hand to the security agencies to act against those who do not desist from mischief.
