He also remembered how she ensured he received a proper education, even hiring a tutor during his early school years.
Recalling a humorous moment, Manish said his tutor once complained that he focused more on fashion details than studies, highlighting his early passion for design.
Following the news of her passing, several Bollywood celebrities, including Arjun Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, and Sonali Bendre, were seen arriving at Manish Malhotra’s residence in Mumbai to offer their condolences.
The tragic loss comes shortly after Manish Malhotra made headlines for showcasing his collection “Inaya: The India Story” at Dubai Fashion Week 2026, celebrating Indian craftsmanship on a global stage.
