Imran Abbas defends remarks ‘actress hesitant to work with me due to looks’

May 20, 2020 12:21 PM

Popular actor Imran Abbas was recently invited as a guest in Reema Khan’s Ramazan Transmission, in which he was asked that do actresses feel insure to share screen with you.

To which, Imran replied in a funny way, “Yes, I have come to know about an actress who felt the same and was hesitant to work with me since she was petrified to get overshadowed on screen.”

However, the blogger community didn’t like what he said and start trolling him.

To which Imran then penned a lengthy note and wrote: “In a recent interview with Reema Khan when I was asked that do actresses feel insecure to share screen space with me because of looks? I answered in a very casual and funny way that Yes, I have come to know about an actress who felt the same and was hesitant to work with me since she was petrified to get overshadowed on screen.”

He further adds, “I am surprised how this whole conversation was taken in a total different light all together when some pages/bloggers highlighted it as ‘Imran Abbas ne kaha ke mere sath aksar heroines kaam kerne se inkaar ker deteen hain’ (Imran Abbas has said most of the actresses refuse to work with me).”

“WTH. I really am surprised to see how low their mental level can be to not to get a joke and how low can someone stop by twisting/misinterpreting the whole conversation to get hits/likes/views or get noticed and then it leads to a never ending chain of all negative and wannabe funny(?) comments,” the actor said.

The actor concluded the note saying: “To get the records straight I am the only actor in Pakistan in my league who has worked as lead opposite more than 90 actresses including Pakistan and India and still doing my upcoming project opposite one of the biggest international female artists.”
