Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday launched 'Tele Health Portal' and also urged female doctors to register themselves for the portal so they would be able to reach women in remote areas of the country.
He said that the health portal was a good step as many people have been infected from Covid-19.
Imran Khan said, “The only solution of this virus is a vaccine and until the vaccines would not be made, we have to live with it.”
The premier said Pakistan’s conditions were not like other countries as patients numbers were much less than the European countries.
He said when the coronavirus will end by the will of Allah Almighty the country will need the Tele Health Portal.
Special assistant to the premier on health Dr Zafar Mirza said that some 70 to 80 per cent of Pakistan's doctors were female but a lot of them did not practise the profession.
He said female doctors should participate in 'Tele Health Portal' and they can do it from their homes.
Mirza added that the Tele Health Portal was "here to stay" even after the pandemic was over and termed the portal a "wonderful aspect" of the country's health system in the future.
