Hearing of Khawaja Asif’s bail plea put off due to judge’s absence

Hearing of bail application, submitted by senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former foreign minister Khawaja Asif to an Accountability Court (AC) in assets beyond sources of income case, was postponed for an indefinite time period on Thursday as one of the judges on the two-member bench was on leave, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Justice Farooq Haider of the bench, headed by Justice Alia Neelum, was on leave.

Similarly, the hearing of the bail petition of another PML-N leader Captain (R) Safdar was also put off for an indefinite time period due to the absence of Justice Haider.
Meanwhile, another accountability court (AC) on Thursday extended the judicial remand given to senior PML-N leader Khawaja Asif in assets beyond sources of income case till June 3.
