Hamza Shehbaz to continue as Punjab CM: Marriyum Aurangzeb

Federal Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb Friday said Hamza Shehbaz will continue to serve as the Chief Minister of Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad along with PPP spokesperson Faisal Karim Kundi, Marriyum Aurangzeb lashed out at the PTI’s leadership and said for four years, they [PTI] looted people with both the hands.

Marriyum said in Punjab Assembly, that the numbers of PML-N and its alliance have been completed. 

Marriyum said Imran Khan was talking about the attack on the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), adding the former premier was abusing the elections.

Marriyum said despite the ECP decision, there is no danger to Punjab’s government.

Marriyum said in Punjab the number of the opposition’s MPAs is 172, while the government has 177 members.

Marriyum said the PTI’s defected members had cast vote against the devastating situation of the economy, adding the defected members had opted to be dissidents by expressing no-confidence in the previous government policies.

Marriyum said they [PTI] are those people, who want to be glued with the rule, adding today PTI has lost 25 of its members.

Marriyum posed the question and said the decision on foreign funding was delayed with the pressure of whom for eight years.

She said the way this decision come within a month, the decision over foreign funding should be done in one day and the party [PTI] should be banned.

Marriyum take a dig at the former premier and PTI Chairman Imran Khan and said he never submitted a single thing [evidence].

Marriyum asked Imran Khan to give his account over the matters of the foreign funding case and Farah Gogi.

Marriyum said if today somebody deserves to be disqualified, then there is none other than Imran Khan.

Marriyum took a jibe at Imran Khan and said: “You will be ousted from any assembly that will bring the vote of the no-confidence motion”, adding the politics of Imran Khan has been de-seated from the politics of Pakistan.

Marriyum flayed PTI and said those who are celebrating over the de-seating of their members should mourn. 

Marriyum said reality is that Usman Buzdar was not the real Punjab CM, but it was Farah Gogi, who was running the office of Punjab CM.

Faisal Karim Kundi lambasted Imran Khan and said the latter had ask the people to do the business of eggs and hens, while Farah Gogi was asked to do the business of property.
