ANF's crackdown against drug sellers in Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar, several arrest

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) started a crackdown against drug-sellers who are selling drugs in educational institutions and their adjacent areas in Karachi, Islamabad, and Peshawar, reported 24News HD TV Channel on Wednesday.

ANF arrested 7, including a woman, and seized 502.91 kilograms of drugs worth over Rs 39.8 million in operations.

ANF personnel recovered 3.9 kilograms of ice from the Saudi Arabian-bound parcel in a private courier office. The ice was tactfully hidden in the cloth at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi.

In another operation, ANF staff recovered 1.582 kilograms of Extic tablets from the custody of a woman who was travelling from Islamabad to Dubai.

In another operation, ANF recovered 310 grams of heroin from a parcel that was destined for the United Kingdom from Islamabad.

ANF also arrested two accused and recovered 18 kilograms of opium from a vehicle at Ring Road, Peshawar.

1.2 kilograms of hashish, 2 kilograms of opium, and 700 grams of ice were recovered from an accused at Faizpur, Lahore.

1.2 kilograms of hashish were recovered from the custody of an accused near Peshawar University in Hayatabad.

The accused admitted his involvement in selling the drugs to students of different educational institutions.

ANF registered a case under the Anti-Narcotics Act 1997 and started an investigation.
