Meeting mulls measures to maintain law and order in Islamabad

Islamabad police chief Dr Akbar Nasir Khan presided over a meeting on measures to maintain law and order in the federal capital, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.
The meeting mulled over the PTI march measures and renewed resolve to ensure the safety of people and public property in the country’s capital.
It was added that any type of illegal activity will not be tolerated in Islamabad and any political activity in Islamabad will be held in accordance with the law and with the permission of the admin.
Entry points’ closures may cause public problems on November 26.
Security will be stepped up while the FC and Rangers will also be deployed to guard the Red Zone.
Search ops to cope with the terror threat challenges will be conducted and strict action will be taken on any kind of legal obstruction.
The CPO headquarters will supervise the personnel posted on duty across the district and take care of their accommodation, food and other facilities.
DIG-level officers will also personally inspect all the facilities for the soldiers posted in Islamabad.
All personnel posted on duty have been equipped with modern technology and the personnel have been provided with drones and body cams.
