Businessman killed in Wazirabad; youth electrocuted in Pattoki

A well-known businessman was shot dead in Wazirabad, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday morning.

According to the TV channel report, a nephew shot and killed his uncle over a minor dispute.

Wazirabad police arrested the suspect during the initial phase of the investigation and registered a murder case against him.

Separately, near Halla Bypass in Pattoki, a maize-loaded tractor-trolley collided with a hanging electric wire.

Resultantly, the tractor-trolley driver died on the spot after receiving a fatal electric shock.

The rescue team said the deceased was identified as 18-year-old Umair Farooq, and his body was shifted to the THQ Hospital.

In another traffic incident, near Soi Wala on Jalalpur Road in Lodhran, buses racing each other ran over an elderly man.

According to the TV channel report, the Qureshi Wala police registered a case and arrested the driver.

The deceased was identified as Allah Bachaya. Eyewitnesses said the elderly man came under the wheels when the two buses attempted to overtake each other.
