PM Shehbaz expands Danish schools in AJK, renews pledge on Kashmir freedom

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday pledged full support “at every level” to help the people of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir achieve freedom, as he addressed a ceremony marking the groundbreaking of a Danish School in Haari Ghel, Bagh district of Azad Kashmir.
Earlier, he performed the foundation-laying of the school and announced that the network would soon be extended to Neelum Valley, while the Bagh campus was expected to be inaugurated on 23 March next year, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Shehbaz Sharif said the Danish School project, which began in Punjab, had been designed to provide world-class education free of cost to underprivileged children and now stood shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan’s leading educational institutions.
He said the initiative’s graduates would go on to showcase Pakistan’s name with pride across the world.
Turning to regional tensions, the Prime Minister claimed that Pakistan had achieved a decisive victory over India in a conflict in May, asserting that a report by the US Congress had confirmed Pakistan’s success.
He said the Pakistan Army under “Field Marshal” Asim Munir had delivered a powerful blow to India, adding that the performance of Pakistan’s forces had forced India “to its knees”.
The PM also said ground forces had fired Al-Fatah missiles and that the US President had repeatedly referenced the downing of Indian aircraft during the conflict.
Reiterating his stance on Kashmir, he vowed continued and unwavering support for the freedom struggle in the occupied territory.
Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore praised the expansion of the Danish School network across the country, calling it an encouraging step and asserting that Pakistan’s stature had risen after what he described as the “battle of truth”.
Faisal Rathore expressed confidence that the day Kashmir would be free was not far. Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, speaking at the ceremony, said the Danish School concept had initially faced considerable opposition in Punjab but argued that development initiatives like Uraan Pakistan were crucial for national progress.
