FIA arrests fraud military auditor, raids for his fake colonel wife

Federal Investigation Bureau (FIA) Islamabad Wednesday arrested a former auditor of Pak military accounts for receiving public money fraudulently by showing his wife a ‘colonel’.

According to the 24News HD TV Channel, accused Syed Maqsood Hussain Shah withdrew at least Rs22 million on fake bills by using two bank accounts.

The accused was arrested by the FIA Anti-Corruption Circle Islamabad on the application of the Controller Military Accounts Rawalpindi.

The FIA has received the physical remand of the accused from the competent court and started raids for the arrest of his wife.
