Former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday filed a petition in the Supreme Court (SC), seeking court orders for the constitution either of a judicial commission or a joint investigation team (JIT) to probe genuineness of the recent audio leaks so that responsibility could be fixed and action could be taken against those found responsible, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Making the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of IT, Ministry of Information, Intelligence Bureau (IB), Federal Investigation Agency and Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) respondents in the case, former prime minister also prayed to the court to order the government and concerned department to bring leaks of such audios to a halt.

In his petition, Imran also requested the court to declare the monitoring of the Prime Minister’s House and Office besides data recording and leaking of audios illegal.
