Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid participated as a special guest in the opening ceremony of the annual sports gala at the hostel of Fatima Jinnah Medical College University.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Masood Gondal, former principals of Fatima Jinnah Medical College Prof Dr Akbar Chaudhry and Prof Dr Abdul Majeed Chaudhry, teachers and students were present.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister, said the full participation and enthusiasm of the students in sports activities is commendable. 

She added along with medical education, female students should actively participate in sports activities.

The minister issued directives to finish the construction of the swimming pool on a priority basis. Dr Yasmeen Rashid praised Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Masood Gondal.
