Bodies of young lovebirds handed over to families in Narowal

Police handed over bodies of a boy and a girl who were found dead inside a car, mysteriously in Narowal, days after they got married, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

According to the police report, the girl and the boy died due to suffocation. The area residents informed the police about a smell coming out from the vehicle.

The boy and the girl married after fleeing from home and have not been in contact with their families for three days.

Police handed over the bodies under Section 174 to their heirs. Police report further revealed that there were no signs of torture on the bodies.

Earlier on October 19, 2025, the bodies of a young boy and girl were recovered from a car garage in the Mahar Sharif area of Saddar Police Station.

According to SHO Saddar Police Station Asif Naveed, residents alerted the police after detecting a foul smell coming from a garage in the neighbourhood. Upon inspection, police found the bodies of the two victims inside.

Preliminary reports suggested that the victims had been missing from their homes since Thursday, though no missing person report had been filed by their families, the SHO confirmed.

Police had called forensic teams to the scene to collect evidence and determine the cause and time of death.

Investigators suspected that the couple may have been killed for marrying against their families’ wishes.
