ADB announces 17m additional aid for Pakistan’s flood victims

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has announced additional $17 million in aid for the flood-affected people of Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
According to the declaration issued by the ADB, the amount will be spent on the purchase of tents, ration and other material for these people.
The bank, which is already assisting the government in relief and rescue activities in the calamity-hit areas besides in the rehabilitation of the people displaced by floods, had already announced $3 million aid.
The declaration further says that the bank is also assisting the government in assessing the damage done to the lives and properties of people due to unprecedented floods and rains.
