Electricity prices likely to drop by Rs4.21 per unit for KE consumers

The electricity prices are likely to drop by Rs4.21 per unit for the K-Electric (KE) consumers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

As per the official sources, the KE has filed a petition in National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) for reducing the electricity prices by Rs4.21 per unit on account of fuel cost adjustment for the month of August.

The Nepra will conduct hearing on the petition on September 29 next.

In case of approval, the people of Karachi will get a relief of Rs7.21 billion in the electricity bills of next month.
