Imran Abbas and Ameesha Patel bond under trolls’ fire

Imran Abbas, a Pakistani actor, and Ameesha Patel, a Bollywood actress, have a lovely friendship that won hearts in Pakistan and across the border, has now come under criticism.

Imran Abbas recently travelled to Bahrain for "First Social Media Awards." Ameesha Patel, an Indian actress, was also sighted at the Bahrain-based event. Imran Abbas and her buddy Ameesha were seen having fun together while recreating a Bollywood song.

In the video, the duo are acting and lip-syncing on the song, "Dil Mai Dard Sa Jaga Hai," which was initially filmed with Ameesha Patel and Bobby Deol, sung by Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan. Abbas wrote, "Loved being very filmy with my friend Ameesha”.

Patel also uploaded the same video and wrote, “Having fun in BAHRAIN last week with my superstar friend Imran Abbas … originally a song from my KRANTI with Bobby Deol... Happens to be 1 of Imran’s fav songs and mine... filmyyyyyyness”.

Responding to the post, Abbas stated, “It was so much fun recording this video on certainly one of my most favorite songs shot on you. Looking forward to seeing you soon again.”

The video quickly gained popularity on social media and upset the fan base. Imran Abbas’s closeness with Bollywood diva Ameesha Patel angered online users. They believed that this is over acting and about the closeness, they weren’t expecting this from a Pakistani to go against the traditions and norms. They even referred to Ameesha as ‘Aunty’.
