Maryam Nawaz to leave for London tonight

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Organizer Maryam Nawaz will leave Lahore for London tonight, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

During her stay, she will brief former prime minister, PML-N supremo and her father Nawaz Sharif about the preparations underway to give him a warm reception on his homecoming on October 21.  

Maryam will also hold meetings with other party leaders.

On the other hand, PML-N’s workers’ convention, which was scheduled to be held at Sharif Medical Complex in Lahore today, had to be cancelled on account of persistent rain.  

PML-N Lahore President Malik Saiful Malook Khokhar and General Secretary Khawaja Imran Nazir took the decision after consultations with the party’s leadership.

Later speaking to the media, Khawaja Imran Nazir said due to inclement weather it was almost impossible to hold the convention at the Complex’s ground.

He said that new date for the convention would be announced after consultations with the leadership.
