German children’s cancer specialists call on Punjab CM Maryam

A delegation from German organization Hope Children’s Cancer Center met with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, reported 24NewsD TV channel on Saturday.

The delegation was led by German paediatric oncologist Dr Stefan Michel.

Experts from Heidelberg University Hospital and German Cancer Research Center participated in the delegation.

It was agreed in principle on the support of German institutions in the treatment of children’s cancer.

Dr Stefan Michel appreciated the government’s efforts for the treatment of cancer patients.

Talking on the occasion, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said Punjab is the first province in the region to introduce coablative cancer treatment. 

Maryam Nawaz said modern cancer hospital in Lahore is rapidly approaching completion. 

Punjab Chief Minister said we will welcome Germany's modern technology for pediatric oncology. 

Parliamentary Leader Wasim Butt said we are strengthening educational and cultural ties between Lahore and Heidelberg. 

The Lord Mayor of Heidelberg, Professor Dr. Eckart Werner, thanked the Chief Minister for his hospitality.

Dr. Stephen Michael said the high standard of pediatric cancer treatment in Punjab is commendable.
