Oxygen leakage puts patients at risk at Lahore hospital
General Hospital admin suspends three employees for showing negligence
The administration of General Hospital in Lahore suspended its three employees who left their duty without informing about oxygen leakage and showing incompetence and negligence, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The Medical Superintendent (MS) of General Hospital lodged a first information report (FIR) against the three employees.
The suspended employees included Sheeraz Safdar, Sadiq, and Waseem Masih. The FIR stated that human lives were at risk due to suspension of oxygen supply.
The FIR further stated that all three employees tried their best to stop the leakage of gas, and their duty time was finished. All three employees prefer to leave without informing anybody.
The hospital administration said that the breathing process of some patients was affected due to low oxygen.
When they detected the gas leakage, they informed the hospital administration, who immediately halted the supply of oxygen.
It is necessary to mention here that no patient was affected due to low oxygen. The official action against the arrested employees is still pending.
