Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Tuesday joined the list of those claiming to have “special powers”, as he said he had two moakals [supernatural creatures] in the National Accountability Bureau.
The concept of moakals is found in Sufism where it is believed that these supernatural creatures communicate and share information with the person controlling them.
Talking to media persons at the Rawalpindi Institute of Urology, Sh Rashid said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had taken the wrong meaning of his statement about Shehbaz Sharif’s arrest.

On Saturday last week, the railways minister at a press conference in Lahore had remarked that PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif escaped arrest because of his spells.
It is worth noting that Shehbaz had not appeared before the NAB despite being summoned a day earlier amid the widely believed speculations that he would be arrested.
The statement triggered an immediate reaction as the NAB in a statement said that no magic could influence the Bureau and there was no intention of arresting the PML-N president.
During his media talk on Tuesday, Sh Rashid again opined that Shehbaz won’t appear before the NAB on April 22 (Wednesday) despite another notice issued to him.
He said Shehbaz had arrived in Pakistan with a dream of a national government, as he advised the politicians to opt for reconciliation.
