A special flight carrying Sri Lankan nationals left Lahore for Colombo on Tuesday as part of an operation to transport its citizens from the South Asian countries.

After landing in Pakistan empty [without any passengers], Flight No UL-1205 left the Allama Iqbal International Airport for the Sri Lankan capital carrying 113 passengers.

According to the Sri Lankan media, 93 of their nationals were repatriated from Lahore and 20 from Karachi.

The SriLankan Airlines is scheduled to fly back the island nation’s citizens from India and Nepal too.

As such, one flight will carry 101 Sri Lankans from Amritsar on April 23. It is scheduled to be followed by a flight carrying 117 nationals from Coimbatore – a city in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu – on April 24.

Meanwhile, another SriLankan Airlines flight will leave Kathmandu on April 24 with 93 passengers.
