PML-Q starts awarding tickets to candidates for Punjab polls

Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) Friday started awarding tickets to candidates for the Punjab polls scheduled to be held on May 14.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, an important meeting of the bigwigs of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Friday decided to award tickets to candidates for the Punjab polls.
The consultation meeting about the political crisis was held under the leadership of Chaudhry Shujaat on Friday.
PML-Q Chief Organizer Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, General Secretary Tariq Bashir Cheema, Vice President Chaudhry Salik Hussain and General Secretary Punjab Chaudhry Shafi Hussain also participated in the meeting.
The PML-Q meeting discussed the current political situation and distribution of party tickets for elections in the Punjab province as per the Supreme Court's orders to the Election Commission.
In the meeting, it was decided to give party tickets to the good candidates for the Punjab election campaign and also formed a four-member negotiation committee for the reconciliation. Chaudhry Sarwar, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Chaudhry Salik Hussain and Chaudhry Shafi Hussain are included in the negotiation committee.
Addressing the consultation meeting, Ch Shujaat Hussain said the division in the institution of the country cannot be afforded in any case.
Shujaat said all the political forces should sit together for the larger interest of the country by putting aside political differences.
He said creating possibilities out of impossibilities is the speciality of serious and astute political leaders.
Ch Sarwar said PML-Q wants elections across the country on the same day otherwise political crisis will increase.
Regarding the election in Punjab, Sarwar said the party tickets from the PML-Q candidates will be submitted to the Election Commission soon.
