Federal Secretariat to remain closed as Red Zone restrictions enforced

The Cabinet Division has announced that the Federal Secretariat and all government offices located in the Red Zone will remain closed on April 22, according to an official notification issued on Tuesday.

The directive applies to offices of all federal ministries and divisions situated within the high-security Red Zone, where access has been restricted due to prevailing administrative and security conditions.

Under the notification, officers and staff of these ministries and divisions have been instructed to work from home for the day to ensure continuity of government operations.

However, employees have also been directed to remain at their designated stations and stay available on short notice. The Cabinet Division emphasized that all officers and staff must be prepared to report to their offices immediately if required.

The move is aimed at maintaining operational readiness while ensuring the safety and security of government personnel during the temporary closure of the Red Zone.
