England have won the toss and elected to bat in the third and final cricket Test against Pakistan at Southampton on Friday.
Speaking after winning the toss, English captain Joe Root said “The pitch looks a bit drier than the previous wicket, so we want to try and make most use of it first and exploit that later in the game."
He said Sam Curran has been dropped out again, with Archer back in the side. England want him to "operate in short, sharp spells, and bowl fast", Root added.
On his turn, Pakistani captain Azhar Ali said he wanted to bat too, adding "It looks a very good track." Pakistan team is unchanged. "We'll try to pick up early wickets and utilise the conditions," Azhar said and added "It's a very important game, must-win for us."
