On the heels of the TikToker Ayesha’s assault in Greater Iqbal Park and Ching Chi (QingQi) Rickshaw girls’ molestation cases, another video of a girl being tortured by a mob in a park went viral on social media on Saturday.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the Inspector General of Punjab Police had taken the notice of the incident and sought report to the Lahore Chief of City Police Officer (CCPO).

The police had started investigation and forensic analyses of the video to identify the details related to the incident especially the time and venue, the victim girl, culprits, and other people who were trying to rescue her.

Because the video did not show the clear location or the people seen in it, the police had demanded the video viewers to help to identify the location, time, date and persons were seen in it.

In the video, it was clear that the incident occurred in a park in the evening and the victim girl was dressed up with the Pakistani Flag related colours—white Qamiz, Shalwar and green dupatta—and some other people in the gathering also wearing green and white dresses.

So, following the hints, it was being guessed that the incident was done during the Independence Day celebrations.

In the video, some unknown people could be heard to identify the victim girl as a friend of Madiha (some girl’s name commonly used in Muslims). But, who is Madiha, it was not clear in the video.

After getting viral of this video of the torture of a girl on social media police had become stunned as it was the third incident within a week.

However, the Lahore Police sought help from citizens saying anyone with information on the footage of the beating of a girl should report it.
