ECP releases updated list of registered political parties including PTI

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released a newly updated list of registered political parties, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

According to the updated list of the ECP, as many as 166 political parties are registered with the Election Commission.

The Election Commission recognised the elections of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) and Jamaat-e-Islami.

The Election Commission also updated the names of party presidents or chairmen of several political parties.

However, the name of the party chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has not been updated yet.

The Election Commission has updated the name of Mian Nawaz Sharif as the President of the Muslim League-N.

The name of Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Naeem-ur-Rehman Khan as party chief has been updated.

Mehmood Khan Named as Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarian Updated.

The name of President Asif Ali Zardari is present as the President of the Pakistan People's Party Parliamentarian.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's name is included as Chairman of the of the Pakistan People's Party.

Asfandiar Wali Khan's name still exists as the president of the Awami National Party.

The Election Commission has also updated the names of the new party president or chairman of many political parties.
