‘Abuse is not a sign of love,’ says Feroze Khan's second wife

Feroze Khan's second wife, Dr Zainab, has completely dismissed the toxic ideas, claiming that husbands' abuse is a sign of love and women should compromise their respect and dignity to keep their marriages. Condemning these so-called concepts, the girl referred to them as harmful, wrong, and dangerous.

Taking to her Instagram handle, where she shared that her sister-in-law shared some viral videos from social media in which one of the doctors can be seen promoting the beliefs that a husband hitting his wife is a sign of love, and she should sacrifice her self-respect for her husband.

Zainab condemned the doctor for his senseless act of encouraging such thoughts, which can play a part in normalizing violence in society.

She urged that love only comes through respect, care, and kindness.

"Hi everyone, recently, my sister in law sent me some videos where a doctor was speaking publicly on social media. In those videos, she said that if a husband hits or abuses his wife, it's because he loves her. She also said that a woman should do everything for her husband so that he doesn't look outside. I want to be very clear: these ideas are really harmful, completely wrong, and go against psychology." She wrote in the upload on Instagram.

"- Violence and abuse are never signs of love. Love shows through respect, care, and kindness, not hitting or insulting someone.

- Psychology never says women should give up their dignity. No one should be told to lose their self-respect for a marriage.

- A healthy relationship is built on trust, respect, and safety not control or fear.

- If doctors or professionals say things like this on social media, it can make violence seem normal and might even increase crime rates." She added

"I'm not calling out anyone or mentioning names, but I want to make it clear, whatever perspective you look from, these ideas are wrong and dangerous. Unfortunately, in our society, women often endure such things and face mental torture, and suggesting they should compromise their dignity only adds to the pain, Astaghfirullah.

Psychology is about helping people live strong, safe, and respectful lives not justifying abuse..." Zainab concluded.
