Four rescue officials among 6 killed in ambulance-bus collision

Four rescue officials among six killed in Rahim Yar Khan’s Muhammad Nagar during a collision between the rescue ambulance and passenger coach on Thursday, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel. 

According to officials, the bus driver tried to save a motorcyclist and collieded with an recue 1122 ambulance, which was carrying two patients from ‎Khanpur. The ambulance was completely destroyed in the accident.‎
The deceased personnel were identified as Adeel Ghaffar, Shahid Razaq, Farhad, and Ahmed. Several others sustained injuries in the ‎crash.‎
Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the accident site, while the injured were shifted to Sheikh Zayed Hospital for medical assistance. A ‎search operation is also underway to recover people possibly trapped under the bus.‎
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rahim Yar Khan Khurram Pervez expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious human lives in the ‎tragic accident involving a Rescue 1122 vehicle in Kot Samaba. The DC offered condolences to the bereaved families of the rescue personnel and citizens who lost their lives and directed officials to ‎ensure the best possible medical assistance for the injured.‎
He instructed the District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122 to personally monitor the rescue operation and sought a detailed report on ‎the incident from the concerned authorities.‎ 

Provincial Minister for Emergency Services Khawaja Salman Rafique and Secretary Emergency Services Dr. Rizwan Naseer ‎expressed deep sorrow over the loss of six lives in the tragic Rahim Yar Khan accident, the Rescue Punjab spokesperson said on ‎Thursday.‎
