Indian man obsessed with Nora Fatehi, restricts wife from eating

A 26-year-old newlywed woman claimed that her husband wanted her to achieve a figure like Nora Fatehi and even restricted her from eating.

The 26-year-old woman from Muradnagar recently got married to a 28-year-old physical education teacher from Meerut, India.

She said that he is so obsessed with Nora and wants her to look like the actress, forcing three-hour-long gruelling gym sessions on her every day.

The couple got married in March and since then, the man often mocked his wife’s appearance saying she had ruined his life and he could have married someone who resembled his star obsession.

The woman claimed that her family had spent nearly 7.5 million Indian rupees which included a car, jewelry and cash but her in-laws kept demanding more dowry.

Moreover, the 26-year-old victim of domestic harassment claimed that she had conceived a baby but was tricked into taking an abortion pill by her husband. She suffered a miscarriage and was hospitalized. 

She said that her in-laws would not let her enter the family home in July when she came back.

FIRs have been registered against the husband and his family under sections related to dowry harassment, humiliation, and forced abortion.

“The investigation is underway, and we are verifying all the allegations,” Deputy Commissioner of Police said.
