Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E Nong Rong called on General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) at GHQ, Monday.

Spokesperson Pakistan Armed Forces Major General Babar Iftikhar said in a statement that the matters of mutual interest, bilateral defence cooperation and regional security situation including CPEC were discussed during the meeting.

“Referring to the recent visit of Chinese Defence Minister to Pakistan, COAS said that it will further strengthen our time-tested relations with our ‘Iron Brother’,” the ISPR statement added.

Spokesperson Pakistan Armed Forces said the visiting dignitary also appreciated Pakistan’s role for peace and stability in the region.
