Soldier martyred fighting terrorists in Balochistan’s Awaran District

A soldier of the Pakistan Army was wounded critically during an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Jatt Bazaar near Awaran, Balochistan, and embraced martyred when he was being evacuated to Karachi for medical treatment on Sunday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), media wing of the Pakistan Army, the security forces had reached Jatt Bazaar after they received intelligence reports about presence of terrorists and their facilitators there. The ISPR says that security forces were conducting a search /clearance operation when an encounter started.
“Due to intense exchange of fire with terrorists during the operation, Lance Naik Muhammad Iqbal was injured and immediately evacuated to Karachi. However, the brave soldier embraced martyrdom due to excessive bleeding. Security forces have successfully cleared the entire area of Jatt Bazaar,” the ISPR concluded.
